Padeia Classics- This is a great site that offers both information and free resources.
The Orthodox Family- This was once a periodical that has been incorporated into Orthodox America. Several articles are
available online and back issues may be ordered. This no longer seems to be available. I will look for an update.
The Well-Trained Mind- The book and the website are both excellent resources, with enough material to keep you
occupied for weeks (at least)! The Well Trained Mind was first published in 1999 and a revised edition is now available.
This is a huge, magnificent book and is easily readable. I recommend the first edition, as it gives more resources that
weren't created by the authors. However, either edition is well worth the cost, and the site has a large amount of
information available.
Children's Garden of the Theotokos- An Orthodox Kindergarten Curriculum. I'm so happy this curriculum is available, it is
really needed in our Orthodox Community.

Saints, a good resource for teaching children the lives of Saints.
http://www.oca.org/RHArticle.asp?SID=15&ArticleID=167 - This is a homeschooling article that I really enjoy and have
gone back to read several times.
http://www.orthodoxonline.com/ -This site has printable weekly lessons on Orthodox topics for children of various ages. A
good start if you wish to create an Orthodox religion curriculum.

Quite a few pictures and many are suitable.
God With Us Publications- The "God With Us" series. This is an Eastern Catholic Sunday School curriculum and it is
very good. Go to http://www.ecdd.org/index.php?pr=Childrens_Catechesis to see more about the program. I own the
preschool program and love it.
CURRICULUM
Right now my favorite chronological curriculum is lunablog's free Mosaic Introduction to World History, Part I. I find this as
complete as many purchased curricula. One of the reasons I like it is because it is secular. It does not impart any
particular religious content that needs to be changed, and yet many of the books are the same that are offered in such
curricula as Tapestry of Grace and Sonlight. It offers an optional world religions aspect of the course. I find it easy to add
Orthodox resources and compare and contrast our beliefs against the rest of the world's.
I find this to be an excellent curriculum for several reasons. It offers chronological history, and uses living books. It also
adds lots of hands on projects...AND includes lists of everything you need. Because I love to create curriculum I will
probably modify this greatly. Any that I use I will post in our curriculum section.
Two versions of this curriculum are available. One uses The Story of the World as a spine and the other uses A Little
History of the World as its spine. Both are available in two versions, one that includes pre-history and evolution, and one
that does not.
